Houko Kuwashima. Dort werden die Menschen von sogenannten Yomas terrorisiert, die sich von deren Eingeweiden ernähren.Claymore is a dark fantasy, adventure manga series written and illustrated by Norihiro Yagi. The series is set on a fictional medieval island where humans are plagued by human-feeding humanoid monsters called Yomas.
A mysterious group, known as The Organization, creates half-human, half-Yoma hybrids to kill Yoma for a price. Claymores and Yoma alike are powered by demonic energy called Yoki, which increases their strength, speed, agility, endurance, and allows them to shape-shift.
For the Claymores, they remain in human form and has no urge to devour human innards, however, when they release too much Yoki, they awaken and become a Super-Yoma called Awakened Beings.
The continent they belong to is divided into 47 districts, with one Claymore warrior assigned to each. The Claymores are ranked 1 through 47, with the lowest number being the most superior of them all.
Usually, the stronger Claymores have some special skills that are unique to the character, may this be a sword technique, fighting style, or Yoki ability.
When Jump Square was introduced in November , Claymore was yet moved into it. Madhouse would later adapt the first eleven volumes of the series into a twenty-six episode anime series.
