We get our first glimpse of the enigmatic Cowboy whose story of the past parallels the present-day. Jesse is hunted by two angels looking for the escaped entity inside him.
Then, meet the richest, most sinful man in town. Jesse tests the limits of his new power on the town bully.
Jesse's ex-girlfriend Tulip tries to draw him back to his old way of life to take revenge. Monster Swamp. Jesse risks losing his church after he bets known atheist Odin Quincannon that he can lead him to God.
Cassidy makes a deal to bring Jesse to the angels and has a run-in with Tulip. South Will Rise Again. Jesse uses the Word Of God to help many in town, including the badly disfigured Eugene Arseface , but soon learns his new ability might not be divine.
The Cowboy makes a tragic decision. The angels reveal all to Jesse about the true nature of his power, known as Genesis. An even more powerful angel comes to Annville to also hunt Jesse down.
A tense argument with Arseface ends in disaster. He Gone. Jesse wrestles with the consequences of his actions with Eugene and reflects on his heartbreaking childhood.

I am obsessed with Jesse, I do like Cassidy, but Tulip was iffy. I still don't really like her as the series goes on.
She seems to be holding Jesse back, especially back to a place that he tried so hard to move on from. However, they are "Till the end of the world, right?
Even though they haven't seen each other in years, or however long, they still long for each other. When I first started watching this show, I have been very distanced from God.
I tried everything I could to get back to him. But, watching this show, it made me talk to God again. Knowing that I wish I could be a vampire because I was born in Romania, but am adopted.
I know that being a vampire would be very hard because I would have to find someone who is good at heart, not bad, but good.
I very like Cassidy for the fact that even as a vampire, he strives on making new friends and trying to find romance wherever that may be.
This show has a lot of lessons that it has taught me. I really hope y'all like it! I watched episode one and it hooked me for the rest of the show, but honestly, the rest of the show kinda fizzled after a bit.
The quirkiness felt like it was intentionally trying to distract from the lack of plot. About halfway through I was desperately onboard because there were interesting characters and hooks, and then they never do anything with them Nothing in this hasn't been done before and while the actors are great, the writing leaves a lot to be desired.
Plus the weird editing style that cuts from place to place with text on the screen starts to irk me and actually is very misleading, and not in a good way.
The final episode did it for me though - I was so disappointing at the outcome and the climax that I will not be watching season 2, and I'm almost angry I paid for season 1.
Try better Seth Rogen. Preacher is my favorite graphic novel ever. This series is not that series. But it's still very, very good.
The character names are the same, many of the concepts are the same, but this is not the adaptation of the graphic novels that we might have thought was coming.
The story isn't remotely the same. But it's still good and I recommend giving the show a shot.
I didn't give it five stars because it should have hesitated to mess with the original brilliant story. Still deserves four stars because the feel is the same, the characters and writing are excellent and I do look forward to seeing the next episode each week.
Try it out. You'll be pleased. My overall verdict: 'Preacher' is a show that doesn't try for a second to cater to a mainstream audience; it offers a unique blend of pulp elements and dark fantasy for genre fans who most likely won't have the slightest problem digesting the hefty mix of drama, horror, gory violence and humor.
Needless to say, I'm totally on board and I can't wait for the next sermon. My provisional rating: 8 stars out of Looking for something to watch?

Kurz darauf beobachten wir Tulip Ruth Nega dabei, wie sie böse Anzugträger mit Maiskolben meuchelt und einen Helikopter durch eine zusammengebastelte Swinger Filme vom Himmel holt. Eine Initiative hat genügend Unterschriften für einen Bürgerentschied gesammelt. Glücklicherweise nimmt sich die Serie nicht allzu ernst, und Jesse Last Night Stream seine Kraft ziemlich profan ein: Unter anderem befiehlt seiner distanzierten Exfreundin Tulip, ihn zu küssen, und er schickt einen entstellten jungen Mann namens Arseface Ian Colletti in einem Wutanfall zur Hölle. Auf einmal beginnen übernatürliche Ereignisse auf der ganzen Welt ihren Tribut zu fordern: Eine ominöse Existenz beginnt von Predigern Besitz zu ergreifen, nur um diese daraufhin in einer Explosion aus Fleisch und Gedärmen das Zeitliche segnen zu lassen. Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten.
